About this experience
You will see the famous attractions of Vilnius: Cathedral Square, the baroque church of Sts. Peter and Paul, Gediminas Avenue, Bernardine Gardens, and the 'city within a city' Uzupis. I will tell you the history and legends of the Lithuanian capital in an accessible and engaging way, help you understand the mentality of the locals, show you popular and secret places, help you take great photos, and reveal the character of Vilnius!
What to Expect
Vilnius at your fingertips
Ride from the old town to the modern City, seeing many interesting places. Highlights include:
- Cathedral Square - where I will talk about the history of the city's foundation.
- Church of Sts. Peter and Paul - an amazing church built by Lithuanian magnate Kazimieras Pacas. You will be impressed by the dazzling luxury of its baroque decoration.
- Uzupis - you will visit the 'republic of bohemia' with its president, constitution, army, and customs. You will also see many unusual galleries and sculptures.
- Bernardine Gardens - experience the authentic atmosphere of the 19th century and see the oldest oak tree in Vilnius.
- Gediminas Avenue - the central avenue of the city, where the main cultural institutions and government buildings are located. I will show you the Bank of Lithuania, Constitutional Court, ministries, Parliament, drama theater, Academy of Music, former KGB building, and library.
- Embankment - enjoy the bridges with Vilnius signs and see the 'lovers' shores'.
- City District - here you will see the 'Path of Freedom' and the National Art Gallery.
