About this experience
While walking through the ancient streets of Vilnius, you will be transported 700 years back in time in one moment, and brought back to the XXI century in another. I will help you feel how history and modernity organically blend here, and tell you about the lives of the townspeople in different epochs: what made them happy and sad, what they suffered from, what they did, and what they gossiped about.
What to expect
Vilnius' Must-See Attractions
You will see all the main sights of Vilnius' historical center: Cathedral Square, the Town Hall, the Holy Gates with the miraculous icon of the Ostrobramskaya Mother of God, one of the oldest universities in Europe, and the legendary churches of St. Anne, the Bernardines, and the Saints Johns. You will stroll through the former Jewish quarter, turned into a ghetto during the Second World War, and find the church connected with Pushkin.
Vilnius from the Inside
I will tell you the most interesting facts about Vilnius: how it changed throughout history, which local doctor became the prototype of Doctor Aybolit, why the Old Town has such crooked streets and so many churches. I will also help you find the palace of the Governor-General and the place where monasteries of three confessions converge: Catholic, Orthodox, and Greek-Catholic.
