About this experience
You can walk around the Lithuanian capital with a guide for a long time and still not notice that Vilnius is not only old but also a creative city, the inhabitants of which have always been very resourceful. During the tour, you will understand how Vilnius is arranged, see the most important and interesting architectural monuments, as well as what usually escapes the sight of other travelers. And, of course, Vilnius will share with you stories from the distant or very recent past: fascinating, intricate, and simply fun.
What to expect
Red route: historical
In any city, there are locations that every traveler must see, and we will definitely introduce you to them. You will learn the main things about important architectural monuments: the Cathedral of St. Stanislaus, the monument to Grand Duke Gediminas - a key figure in the history of Lithuania, Town Hall Square at the Old Vilnius Market, and how the monument to Doctor Aybolit appeared in the city. We will tell you who studied at Vilnius University, what is remarkable about Stikliu Street, show the houses of Vilnius nobility, and the only surviving gates in the city with a miraculous icon. You will learn to navigate in Vilnius and during the tour, understand where else you would like to go.
Blue route: creative
There are interesting places scattered throughout the city that are so easy to pass by if you do not realize that they are there: the tile of happiness, curious plaques on Literatu Street, atmospheric courtyards and streets with a special past, a gem of Gothic - the Church of St. Anne. We will never let you miss all this. Together we will descend to the level of the Middle Ages, talk about how Hannibal was baptized and how Fyodor Dostoevsky spent his honeymoon in our city. We will learn how the art district of Uzupis lives by completely different rules and where tattoo artists have replaced jewelers. We will tell you about the culinary places of Vilnius, about why Vilnius is very creative.
