About this experience
We will walk through the old pedestrian streets, peek into medieval courtyards, see and visit numerous historical sites (entrance is free). You will hear amazing stories and legends about my city, as well as learn about traditions rooted in Lithuania's pagan past. And you will receive recommendations for places to visit independently - viewpoints, museums, chapels, spa centers, etc.
What to expect
This is an extended tour for history enthusiasts, architecture lovers, and people interested in Christian relics, during which I will tell you:
- where the name of the country and cities of Lithuania comes from;
- when Old Vilnius is first mentioned;
- the history of the formation of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania;
- about Vilnius' life as the capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania;
- the legends of Lithuania, which are still closely intertwined with the modern life of Lithuanians;
- the pagan traditions of Lithuania that have been preserved since the 14th century;
- why amber is the symbol of Lithuania;
- about the confessions of Lithuania (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Karaism);
- I will give practical advice on what to see, visit after our tour independently.
As a result, you will understand the roots of the multicultural city of Vilnius, where 30 nationalities live today, and gain a better understanding of the city and the customs of its inhabitants.

We will also visit various wonderful places:
- a shop of Lithuanian organic products;
- Lithuanian 'chocolate house' in the Old Town;
- a shop of Lithuanian cheeses with cheese ice cream and cheese candies;
- a beer cellar with 80! types of Lithuanian beer;
- a real brewery where you can try freshly brewed craft beer.
