About this experience
I have no doubt: you are passionate about Egypt and want to expand your knowledge about this amazing country! That's why I invite you to visit two museums with a Russian-speaking guide. Through an engaging narrative, understandable even to young children, you will enrich your historical knowledge. You will also be able to admire ancient sanctuaries and artifacts found during excavations.
What to Expect
Tutankhamun Museum
You will travel back to the era of the legendary pharaoh's rule: see the world-famous exhibits from his tomb, including the golden mask and sarcophagus - these are exact replicas of the originals displayed in the Cairo Museum. The Russian-speaking historian guide will tell you about the secret ceremonies of ancient rulers and the mummification ritual, explain the meaning of secret signs and ancient Egyptian symbols.
Historical Museum
The museum houses 5200 exhibits and presents three historical periods: Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, and Islamic. The museum is largely dedicated to Hathor - the goddess of the sky, joy, and fertility. In ancient times, she was depicted as a celestial cow with a belly sprinkled with stars, and later the goddess took on the form of a woman with cow ears and horns.
