About this experience
Cairo is located 500 km from Sharm El Sheikh. We will depart at night and by morning reach the capital, where your immersion into the world of Ancient Egypt will begin. You will visit the largest repository of ancient Egyptian art objects and the Papyrus Museum. You will be able to take a boat ride on the Nile. And you will explore the monuments of Giza, make a wish at the foot of the Sphinx, and uncover the mysteries of the pyramids.
What to Expect
Travel from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo
Late at night, around 00:30, we will pick you up from the hotel, and you will head to Cairo on a comfortable bus with air conditioning, toilet, and reclining seats. All excursion buses depart with a police convoy. The travel time will be around 7 hours. There will be two stops along the way: the first one to check your visa, and the second one where you can have breakfast - bring some snacks from the hotel with you.
Excursion Program in Cairo
- Egyptian Museum (1.5 hours). You will explore the largest collection of exhibits dedicated to Ancient Egypt. There are over 120,000 artifacts here! By examining the most interesting artifacts, including the golden collection of Tutankhamun, you will touch the epoch of the mysterious civilization.
- Nile River Cruise (optional). Then you will embark on a small boat cruise along the city center and admire Cairo's landscapes from the water.
- Papyrus Museum in Giza (30 minutes). You will see the writing materials used by ancient Egyptians, learn about the process of making papyrus, and its evolution.
- Lunch at a restaurant (40 mins) - buffet
- Pyramids and Sphinx (2 hours). Here are the main sites of the route! Before you will rise the great monuments of the Ancient World, where we will talk about the construction of grand structures, the tombs for pharaohs, mysterious rituals, and ancient Egyptian mythology.
- Perfume salon (30 minutes)
We will depart from Cairo to Sharm El Sheikh at 18:30. Arrival at the hotel is estimated around 02:00.

Additional Expenses:
- entrance tickets to the pyramids (optional) - $20 per person
- boat ride on the Nile (weather permitting) - $10 per person, payment on-site upon boarding

- An Egyptian visa is mandatory for the trip to Cairo. It is purchased upon arrival for $25. The visa must be pasted into the passport and stamped at the airport to be valid.
- If you prefer not to travel by bus, we can offer you the same program in Cairo but with a flight (1 hour). The cost including plane tickets will be $250 per adult, $240 per child.
