About this experience
The program is entirely devoted to exploring the monuments - we will not waste time on factories, plants, and shops. Our guide will take you on a tour of the museum, home to the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. In Giza, you will hear academic and alternative versions of the pyramid construction, see the Great Sphinx, and visit the mummification temple.
What to Expect
Cairo Museum
In the two-story building, you will see original artifacts from the Ancient World: statues of famous pharaohs and gods, sarcophagi, treasures of Tutankhamun, and mummies. The guide will introduce you to the main ancient Egyptian epochs and immerse you in the times of one of the most mysterious civilizations in the world.
If desired, the group can take a walk along the Nile and then stop by a restaurant for lunch.
Legends of Giza
In the second part of the program, you will visit Giza, home to iconic masterpieces of Ancient Egypt: the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx. Why and how were they built? Were the pyramids only created for tombs?
You will learn the most interesting hypotheses, both official and alternative. You will see that the most popular version of pyramid construction is unrealistic. You will understand the true age of the Sphinx. Visit the granite mummification temple. And after the tour, you will have a broader view of the legacy of Ancient Egypt.
