In a few words, this tour is pure bliss! In one day, you will relax in a wellness complex: bathe in healing hot springs and enjoy the views of white thermal baths. After recharging your energy, you will stroll around Eger, a baroque town full of medieval legends. The conclusion will be a wine tasting of 'Bull's Blood' and other wines in the ancient cellars of the Valley of the Beautiful Lady.
What to Expect
Journey to the picturesque wine region of Hungary
On the way from Budapest, you will admire the views and listen to stories. You will learn about the history and present of Hungarian winemaking, national traditions, holidays, dishes, the uniqueness of Hungarians, culture, and folk crafts. The road passes by the Mátra mountain range, which is called the soul of Hungary. We will talk about this area and its resorts, and passing by the town of Gödöllő - about Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria.
Rest in the baths of Egerszalók
You will see the snow-white lace mountains - these patterns are created by calcium and wind. Hot water flows over them, and nearby is a SPA complex. There you will bathe in thermal pools, relax in massage baths, and improve your health - these waters contain calcium and magnesium.
Eger - a town from a postcard
After lunch, one of the most beautiful cities in Hungary awaits you. On a walk through the center of Eger, you will admire baroque architecture, hear medieval legends, and see the fortress that remembers the heroism of its defenders against the Turkish army.
Wine in the 'Valley of the Beautiful Lady'
Winemakers warmly welcome guests in the cave wine cellars. Here you will learn about the unique climate of the region and taste the renowned wines - 'Girl from Eger', 'Eger Bull's Blood', and others. You will also discover two legends explaining the unusual name of the region.
