About this experience
During a boat trip along the canals of Copenhagen, you will sail past the centuries-old history of the Danish kingdom, captured in the architecture of the city landscapes. You will see the colorful houses of Nyhavn, greet the Little Mermaid, learn about the traditions and customs of the mysterious Danes, and appreciate the cozy beauty of the 'Northern Paris'.
What to Expect
Who are the Danes
We will meet at City Hall Square and take a leisurely walk to Nyhavn along the atmospheric pedestrian street of Strøget. Along the way, we will find out who the Danes are, how modern Denmark earns its living, and why the locals love their queen. At the monument to the founder of Copenhagen, we will trace how a 12th-century fishing village turned into the trading center of Scandinavia. During the boat trip, you will be able to peek into the windows of Copenhagen residents, feel the aromas of local cuisine as you pass numerous cafes, and get acquainted with Danish traditions and customs.
Copenhagen's Symbols from the water
In the colorful and picturesque Nyhavn, we will board a pleasure boat and explore Copenhagen's waterways. You will sail past the 3 islands of the capital and see its landmarks from an unusual perspective: colorful houses, one of which was home to the fairy tale author Andersen, the Stock Exchange and National Bank buildings, the Marble Church and Christiansborg Palace, the opera house, and the wonderful palace ensemble of Amalienborg. I will introduce you to the key places of the city: tell you about Holmen Island, the Black Diamond Library, the districts of the Old Town, and Copenhagen's symbol - the charming Little Mermaid.
