Sweet Tour in the Surroundings of Batumi
About this experience
On my own apiary in the village of Chaisubani, I will show you a piece of authentic Georgia. You will see how to befriend the hardworking bees and learn how to distinguish real honey from fakes. I will take you on a route through the Mtirala Park, where we will walk among subtropical plants and even ford a river. And in the end, we will relax with a simple but soulful lunch of Georgian dishes.
What to Expect
Right Bees and Real Honey
Interested in beekeeping, I decided to delve into the intricacies of this craft and learned about the other side of honey production that sellers will never tell you about. We will stroll through my blooming garden and see how bees live in conditions as close to natural as possible. I will tell you how to build harmonious cooperation with these amazing workers. Here you will taste several unique types of local honey, learn to recognize natural honey, and distinguish it from counterfeits: not only in Georgia but also where you live.
Forest Walk
Then I will take you to Mtirala National Park along a path known only to locals. We will bypass noisy cafes, merchandise stalls, and car parks, allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty of this place. We will walk about 2 kilometers along a picturesque road amidst lush subtropical vegetation, cross two rivers on stones or ford them, and end up at my unusual forest apiary with Kenyan hives.
Lunch like at Home
Finally, if you wish, you can have lunch in an ordinary Georgian house in the village — in the hospitable family of my good neighbors. There won't be a menu like in a restaurant, but you will enjoy delicious local food as it would be cooked for their friends and family.
