• We will start by exploring the sweet street, where I will tell you about the history of sweets from the very first delicacies to the masterpieces of modern confectionery art. We will be time travelers, even dressing up and visiting old and modern cafes. You will learn about the sweets of the 15th century under King Matthias and about wedding traditions in Hungary - for example, why a hammer at a wedding).
• Hungary has its own named pastries and homeland cake. In the city center, we'll visit a pastry shop where you will meet the winners of the pastry chef competition. It is their cakes that have unusual names and are distinguished by special signs.
• We will visit a pastry shop where the fifth generation of pastry chefs successfully continues the work of their ancestors.
• And at Molnar cafe, where they will bake the fragrant 'kurtos kalach' in front of you, you will taste it right away.
• We will pass by gingerbreads that will lure us into a souvenir shop, as our next stop is at Budapest's most famous confectionery Gerbeaud with a wide selection of classic Hungarian pastries. But we will only stop there briefly, as there are more discoveries ahead.
• What coffee did they drink and what do they like now? From what cups? On which chairs did they sit? Traditions, legends, omens, and much more await you.
• Next, we will reach the Basilica, where you can enjoy ice cream shaped like a rose, with an incredible choice of flavors... And as we are almost finishing our tour, we will stop for a cup of aromatic coffee at the Retesh Haz cafe, where you will see how they make the amazing treat retesh strudel, and taste it immediately!
