About this experience
Czech sweets! Trdelniks with cream and chocolate sauce, traditional cake 'Prague', ice cream, marzipan - all this awaits you on an exciting gastronomic walk. I will take you to the main restaurants and help connect the cuisine with the history and traditions of the city. You will learn why the locals use the phrase 'Taste and color, find yourself a companion', where to buy the most delicious trdelniks, and what cake the first president of Czechoslovakia ordered.
What to Expect
Through the Hidden Streets of Prague
On the walk, you will get to know the 'live' city: you will walk through the cozy streets of Prague, visit the Franciscan park, find yourself in the temple of the Virgin Mary of the Snows, where the thick medieval walls will protect you from the city noise. You will visit the internal clock mechanism and hear the history of the city over a cup of good coffee. You will be amazed by facts about how kings lived in Prague, what cake the first president of Czechoslovakia ordered, and where the favorite spots of locals are.
Through Cuisine - to the History and Traditions of the City
You will walk through the main restaurants and cafes, where you will try signature dishes of Prague. Through the dishes, I will tell you about the specifics of Czech cuisine and how traditions, recipes, and flavors were created. I will show you 'appetizing' places: cafes where they sell the most correct and delicious trdelniks, the cake 'Prague', fruits with marzipan. I will also tell you about the unusual local traditions. You will learn why, expressing delight, Prague locals say 'terrific' and love to repeat: 'Taste and color, find yourself a companion'.
