About this experience
Budapest is beautiful: historic landmarks, scenic riversides, and delicious food. I invite you to explore the city from a gastronomic perspective. Our route will include places where you can try the best sausages, goose liver, goulash, desserts, and wine. You will taste local delicacies and learn everything interesting about Hungarian cuisine.
What to Expect
Best Gastronomic Delights of Budapest
The starting point of the route will be the Central Market. Here you will taste pickles, game meats, fish, Hungarian sausages, and smoked goods. If desired, you can also buy fresh vegetables and fruits, mushrooms, truffles, and local honey at a good price. Moreover, we will visit an exhibition showcasing all types of wine produced in the country.
After the market, you will try the most delicious goulash in Budapest, Tokaj wine, and goose liver. And if you crave something sweet, we will make a stop for coffee and fresh pastries.
'Tasty' History of the Capital
You will not only discover traditional city chronicles on the tour. I will share details of its gastronomic fate with you. You will hear the legends of the Central Market: about curly pigs and the grey cow, the happy chicken, and the magnificent goose. You will understand how goulash, paprikash, and perkelt appeared and which local treat is the most beloved. I will tell you about the country's 22 wine regions and a beverage made only in Hungary.
At the end of the tour, I will reveal the locals' favorite gastronomic spots and share a list of restaurants and cafes with good cuisine and discounts.
