About this experience
Not every story is as fascinating and appetizing as the story of Serbian cuisine. That's what we will talk about, storming the best pastry shops in Belgrade, trying famous desserts and sweets that you won't find anywhere else in the world. In just a couple of hours, you will explore the variety of local coffee shops, discover unusual pastries, and get acquainted with Belgrade's traditions through sweet examples.
What to Expect
Taste žito, baklava, and Serbian pastries!
The aroma of honey baklava will lead us to the heart of Belgrade, but instead of wandering through historical sights, I will take you to the best traditional pastry shops, trendy cafes, and other sweet spots of the city. Listen to the enticing crunch of freshly baked puff pastry, taste the famous Belgrade cake in the renowned Belgrade hotel, sample the local ice cream, and discover delicacies that you won't taste anywhere else in the world. And the cream curls on the pastries will impress even the most refined aesthetes!
Culinary Traditions of Belgrade
You will be amazed at how much the city's gastronomic history can tell you about it. Do you want to get to know Belgrade through the world of desserts and culinary stories? Walking between pastry shops, you will find out if Serbians really eat parachutes, hats, and robes, learn how to confess love with a gingerbread cookie, and hear about a touching gift from a mother-in-law that became part of Serbian culinary history. We will also talk about which desserts attract Serbian children, just like those peanut sand rings used to attract us.
Along the way, we will not only discuss sweets: I will tell you where else to go in Belgrade, share insights and useful tips from locals, and guide you through the city's attractions.
