You will learn how Kuala Lumpur has transformed from a tin mining settlement to the most comfortable capital city for foreigners on the planet in just 150 years. I will reveal what makes it so special, uncover its soul and heart. We will also visit the enchanting Batu Caves located in the outskirts of the city.
What to expect
Fantastic Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is among the top 10 most visited cities on the planet. And it's no wonder: there are plenty of impressive places to see here! You will see the world's tallest Petronas Twin Towers. Visit Independence Square with a 95-meter flagpole and decipher the unique architecture of the National Mosque. Take photos with the royal guards at the Royal Palace and admire the Chinese temple on a picturesque hill.
Mysterious Hinduism and ancient caves
We will visit the Batu Caves - a giant temple cave complex which has become one of the main Hindu shrines in Malaysia. You will get acquainted with this remarkable religion, appreciate the grand statue of Lord Murugan and climb the photogenic staircase of 272 steps. You will also observe curious monkeys! I will share the history of this magical place and the legends associated with it.
Organizational details
- The tour is conducted in a comfortable car that can accommodate 2 adults and one child up to 12 years old (the tour is free for the child). Transportation is included in the price.
- The tour can be conducted for a larger group:
- For a group of up to 4 travelers, the cost will be 175€ (on a MPV minivan)
- For a group of up to 6 travelers, the cost will be 200€ (on a Toyota minivan) - You can pay the remaining amount in dollars and euros on the spot (bills of 50 and 100 denominations, not older than 2013, in good condition - this is the rule for exchanging money in Malaysia). You can also pay in local currency (Malaysian Ringgit) at the current exchange rate instead of small bills.
- Be sure to wear comfortable shoes (no sandals); for temple visits - wear a dress/skirt below the knees (or a sarong made of thick fabric, tied like a skirt).
