About this experience
I invite you to get to know the young but vibrant Kuala Lumpur! I will show you the main attractions of the city and its symbol - the Petronas Twin Towers. I will talk about Malaysians, about the past and present life of the metropolis, about local customs and traditions. In addition, you will reach off-the-beaten-path places and experience the multi-ethnic charm of Kuala Lumpur.
The capital of Malaysia is a rather intriguing place where the multi-ethnic charm is evident at every turn. Kuala Lumpur is the financial and trade center of the country. Although the city is still very young (only 165 years old), there is much to see and marvel at here.
During our walk, I will help you understand the local history and customs, show you vivid examples of the amazing cultures that are mixed here. I will tell you what is special about Kuala Lumpur now and what was happening here when the city was just emerging. I have designed this tour to not only include the standard city attractions but also added places that an independent traveler is unlikely to visit on their own. We will walk and drive around the city. Here are just some of our stops:
- Petronas Twin Towers
- Royal Palace
- Tian Hou Chinese Temple
- Independence Square
- Place of the founding of Kuala Lumpur
- Central Market - Souvenir and Crafts Center
Within the timeframe, the route can be diversified with additional places, or simply keep them in your notes for independent visits:
- Bird park (entrance ticket $17/person)
- Butterfly park ($7/person)
- Oceanarium ($17/person)
- Batik painting workshop
- If you want to see the city from a height, I suggest going up the TV Tower ($25/person)
- Petronas Twin Towers, I recommend booking tickets in advance ($18/person).
