About this experience
We will show you incredibly beautiful places that not every traveler reaches. You will visit the German settlement of Elisabethtal, get acquainted with the culture and traditions of the locals, visit a winemaker (whose wines are unrivaled in Georgia!), and admire one of the country's most impressive natural landmarks - Dashbashi Canyon.
What to Expect
Elisabethtal
First, we will take you to Elisabethtal - a settlement founded by German colonists in 1818. They brought their culture, language, and traditions, engaged in agriculture, developed industries, preserving their identity for many generations. You will learn about their history, customs, culinary peculiarities, find out who the settlement is named after, and who invited the Germans here.
Also, we will visit a local resident - a winemaker. In the cellars left by the Germans, he produces unique wines that cannot be found anywhere else. For an additional fee, you can taste them.
Dashbashi Canyon
In the second part of the program, you will discover a unique canyon known for its unusual geological formations. You will see stone columns and pylons created by nature as a result of erosion and the effects of wind and water on soft rock formations. These formations create an unparalleled landscape! The nature around is breathtaking: you will immerse yourself in the world of mountain landscapes, green valleys, crystal clear rivers, and vast expanses.
We will tell you how the canyon was formed and what fish inhabits it. We will show you a private trout farm where you can try fishing if you wish.
Organizational Details
- Start and end of the excursion - near your hotel in Tbilisi. The trip is conducted in a comfortable sedan, hatchback, or minivan depending on the number of participants.
- Entrance to Dashbashi Canyon, waterfalls, and the bridge is paid separately - 49 GEL per person, as well as wine tasting and fishing (optional).
- A lunch stop is planned (optional). Food is not included in the price.
- The tour will be conducted by me or another guide from our team.
