About this experience
You will explore amazing natural landmarks that not every traveler knows about. We will walk across a suspension bridge over the majestic Okatse Canyon, enjoy the views of the Kinchkha Waterfall, explore the mysterious Prometheus Cave and the enigmatic Martvili Canyon on a boat ride. You will gain a unique experience and return from the journey with a wealth of new impressions and great photos. Additionally, you will learn about the important historical epochs and monuments of ancient Kutaisi, as well as the culture and mentality of the indigenous inhabitants.
What to Expect
Okatse Canyon from a Bird's Eye View
You will admire the beauty and grandeur of wild nature while walking through the Okatse Canyon. Its highlight is a suspension bridge over a kilometer long and 140 meters high, offering truly breathtaking views of the mountain slopes! Next, we will visit the limestone Kinchkha Waterfall, located a few kilometers from Okatse and reaching a height of one hundred meters. I will tell you the story of the waterfall, which was once a bathing place for former princes and is the most beautiful part of the canyon.
Boat Ride in Martvili Canyon
You will visit the mysterious Martvili Canyon, which is on the list of Georgia's top 10 priority sites. On boats, you will be able to venture deep into the canyon and see the amazing beauty of the local nature with your own eyes. You will see the Royal Bath with transparent turquoise water, which never heats up. The locals call this place the 'royal bath of the Dadiani family'. Martvili Canyon is not only fascinating for its magnificent views but also for the archaeological finds: in the canyon and its surroundings, fossilized bones of ancient animals, dino footprints, and traces of a primitive caveman's dwelling have been discovered. Martvili Canyon can be explored by renting a boat or from a wooden bridge, offering a top view of the canyon.
Fascinating Underground World
As a bonus, you will visit Prometheus Cave - a real kingdom of stalactites and stalagmites, illuminated with bright colors. You can stroll through the cave on foot (1.5 km) or glide under its vaults on a boat. We visit the cave if time permits.
Culture of Ancient Kutaisi
During the excursion, you will learn about the important historical epochs and monuments of ancient Kutaisi, the culture and mentality of the indigenous inhabitants, and the peculiarities and diversity of the nature of Western Georgia. I will be happy to answer any of your questions and help you better understand the beauty and spirit of this region!

We were not accompanied by a tour guide. We didn't receive any information about the history, traditions, and ...

First of all, thank you for the comfort: picked up right from the hotel, brought right to the hotel. Led by the hand to every ticket office. Mountainous Georgia with caves, canyons, and rivers in the gorges is incomparable.
