What to Expect
Okatse Canyon from a Bird's Eye View
You will enjoy the beauty and grandeur of wild nature while walking through Okatse Canyon. Its highlight is a suspension bridge over a kilometer long and 140 meters high, providing truly breathtaking views of the mountain slopes! Next, we will visit the picturesque Kinchkha Waterfall, located a few kilometers from Okatse and reaching a height of one hundred meters. I will tell you the history of the waterfall, which was once a bathing place for former princes and is the most beautiful part of the canyon.
Boat Trip through Martvili Canyon
You will visit the mysterious Martvili Canyon, listed among Georgia's top 10 priority sites. On boats, you can venture deep into the canyon and witness the amazing beauty of the local nature with your own eyes. You will see the Royal Bath with transparent turquoise water that never warms up. The locals call this place 'the royal bath of the Dadiani family.' Martvili Canyon is not only famous for its magnificent views but also for the discoveries of archaeologists: fossilized bones of ancient animals, footprints of dinosaurs, and traces of a primitive cave man's dwelling were found in the canyon and its surroundings. You can explore Martvili Canyon by renting a boat or from a wooden bridge that offers an overhead view of the canyon.
Fascinating Underground World
As a bonus, you will visit the Prometheus Cave - a realm of stalactites and stalagmites illuminated with bright colors. You can stroll through the cave on foot (1.5 km) or sail beneath its vaults on a boat.
Ancient Kutaisi Culture
During the tour, you will learn about the important historical eras and monuments of ancient Kutaisi, the culture and mentality of the indigenous people, and the peculiarities and diversity of Western Georgia's nature. I will gladly answer any questions you may have and help you better understand the beauty and spirit of this region!
