About this experience
I will show you the main beauties of Georgia: from the Okatse Canyon, which we will view from a height of 140 meters, to the Martvili Caves. You will admire waterfalls and the turquoise water of the Royal Bath, see underground lakes, and the forest of stalactites in the Prometheus Cave. Throughout the trip, we will discuss the lifestyle and traditions of Georgians and touch upon the key milestones in the history of Sakartvelo.
What to Expect
Stunning Panoramas
We will head to the picturesque Okatse Canyon: here, at a height of 140 meters, a suspension bridge is installed for walks. You will enjoy the breathtaking view and observe the canyon from above. A few kilometers from Okatse is the Kinchkha Waterfall, where we can admire the power of water cascading from a height of almost a hundred meters.
Martvili Caves
Next, we will visit the Martvili Canyon, where it is worth taking a boat ride to appreciate its beauty. We will venture deep into the canyon and explore the Royal Bath of the Dadiani family—the water here is almost transparent but of amazingly bright color. Alternatively, we will admire the beauty of the canyon from a height, standing on a wooden bridge.
Christian Heritage
The ancient Chkondidi Monastery will be the cultural landmark that will enrich our sightseeing tour. I will tell you its history and show the main buildings of the complex. Majestically perched on a hill, it looks great in photos.
Otherworldly Landscapes
The highlight of our program will be the karst Prometheus Cave—the largest in the country. It is adorned with many illuminated stalactites and stalagmites, an underground river, and lakes complement the fantastic landscape. You will hear the legends of this attraction and learn in whose honor the sculpture at the entrance is installed.
