About this experience
Just imagine: pristine mountains and canyons of Georgia, ancient fortresses, places of past battles - and around no one but us! We will take you on this unconventional route, tell stories from the times of Queen Tamar, and take wonderful photos for you. You will see the panorama of the Didgori battle, gaze at the Dashbashi waterfalls, and discover places untouched by mass tourism.
What to Expect
Off the Beaten Path Georgia: From Fortresses to Waterfalls
Let us help you discover unique historical and natural locations not far from Tbilisi where mass tourism has not yet reached. Our program includes:
- Ancient Korogli Fortress - the last refuge of Queen Tamar, a place of battles, intrigues, and conspiracies. We will reach the citadel through a steep staircase amidst the mountains. From the fortress perched on the edge of a cliff, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the historic Kartli region.
- Panorama of the Didgori Battle on the hills of the Trialeti Plateau. In a remote location, far from villages and towns, you will face an amazing monument consisting of dozens of giant steel swords stuck in the ground. You will hear the story of the great battle and appreciate the majestic views surrounding the site.
- Dashbashi Canyon and Waterfalls - one of the most picturesque places in Georgia. We will stand on the edge of cliffs, admire the waterfalls cascading into the abyss, towards the stream of the Khrami mountain river. Then we will descend a few hundred meters on a safe path to the turquoise waters.
Exploring the Best Photo Spots!
As an experienced photographer, I will not only suggest successful angles and points for shooting but also take photos for you as a memory: on your phone or with my professional camera. Along the way, we will stop at especially picturesque places for photos. The mountain road, which will cover a significant part of the route, also deserves special attention: in May-July, the slopes are covered with floral carpets, and in autumn and spring, large herds of sheep can be encountered.
Organizational Details
- The tour is conducted from March to November; the exact seasonality depends on the weather. In case of bad weather, we will offer an alternative route or reschedule the tour.
- Lunch is not included in the price, but I will take you to an authentic cafe with local cuisine.
- A photo session with a professional camera is a bonus to the tour, and I will send the photos within two weeks.
- An additional fee is required for canyon entrance: 50 lari per person.
- Comfortable footwear is necessary for the trip as there are elements of mountain walks (ascent to the fortress and descent to the canyon). The total length of all walking movements is 2.5 kilometers. The route is manageable even for schoolchildren, but we do not recommend this tour for preschoolers.

I really enjoyed the tour of southern Georgia and how fascinating Anastasia tells about the history and traditions of this country. Will gladly come back again!

We have mixed feelings about this experience. On one hand, we saw beautiful places, took good photos, and listened to interesting stories. Nastya took into account our preferences in the route and instead of a bridge with a diamond, she took us to another beautiful location. On the other hand, the e...

Amazing places! Incredibly beautiful! Nastya is an excellent storyteller and drives the car wonderfully (not scary unlike many drivers in Georgia). The only debatable point is whether it is necessary to take guests to the canyon with the newly built 'diamond'? A steep entrance fee considering that t...
