You will hear an exciting story not only about the life and work of Antoni Gaudi but also about the era in which the great architect lived and worked. You will learn how the appearance of Barcelona and sacred places for Catalans began to change during this period, as well as how the contemporaries of the architect received his masterpieces. I will tell you the names of those who commissioned Gaudi's works, agreed to build such whimsical buildings, and reveal one of the main secrets of the architect's creative career: who he consulted with.
Master's Creations Enigmas
You will take on the role of researchers of the most famous buildings of Gaudi - the Sagrada Familia temple, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila. The architect never wrote memoirs or gave detailed interviews about his projects, so his creations are full of mysteries. You will find out why his buildings are characterized by unusual crosses and balconies shaped like skulls and seaweed. A huge number of symbols left by Gaudi in his architecture will tell a lot about the architect's character and his inner world.
Organizational Details
- We can also visit Park Guell additionally (+ 2 hours and 100 euros). You can get to Park Guell by taxi (≈9 euros) or by metro, but you will have to climb to the park for quite a while. The choice of transport is yours!
- Tickets to Park Guell (including for the guide) can only be booked online in advance. Ticket price - 10 euros/person.
- Each additional hour of the excursion costs 40 euros.
- It is possible to conduct the tour for a larger number of participants for an additional fee: 40 euros/adult, 30 euros/child 6-14 years old, 25 euros/child 4-6 years old.
