About this experience
To decipher these 'strange' Swedes, approach their understanding of harmony and sensitive perception of the surrounding world, immerse yourself in the world of nature, sculptures and philosophy, and at the same time see what is not included in the 'standard set' of getting to know Stockholm, you should embark on a journey with me to the island of Lidingö in Millesgården Park!
Milles Garden
Millesgården is a house-garden on a rock overlooking the lake, belonging to the sculptor Carl Milles - a romantic, sought-after artist and, apparently, a happy person. Millesa Garden, as connoisseurs aptly define it, is a successful symbiosis of stone, bronze, and shady alleys.
Milles's masterpieces are known in many countries around the world. He is famous for his flying figures barely touching the ground. In Moscow, in front of the International Trade Center stands the Hermes, made by Milles's hand.
Program
In the garden, in the open-air museum, you will see how beautifully the sculptural masterpieces fit into the landscape, you will realize in person the amazing ability of Carl Milles to create sculptures from small to giant forms with grace and elegance. Even many years later, his works evoke admiration and astonishment...
I will talk about the features of the artistic concept of conveying myths and legends in sculptural compositions, about the originality of engineering and design solutions, and you will understand that only a genius could create something like this!
