Rome - a guided tour of the main sights and the unexplored ghetto
About this experience
When, how, and why - on my tour you won't get lost in questions of history and the abundance of significant monuments of the Eternal City. In three hours, thanks to professional but engaging stories, the past of Rome will come together in a clear and vivid picture. The route will cover the most important sites from the Colosseum to Piazza Navona, but will pass through the authentic district of the former ghetto without crowds of tourists.
What to expect
Unconventional route and stories about modern Rome
This is a sightseeing tour, but you won't be following the beaten paths. I will take you through the atmospheric streets of the former Jewish ghetto - an area little known to travelers and beloved by Romans. To the places where it is said that everything began here. You will immerse yourself in history from the foundation of Rome to its Baroque heyday - and I will tell you about it in a clear and lively language. I will also share observations about the life of Italians today.
A bonus will be useful tips - where to drink the most delicious coffee and enjoy Italian cuisine, how to get into museums, and where to go shopping.
Great landmarks and people of Rome
Step by step, we will reach the key points on the map of the Eternal City. You will see the Colosseum and the ancient Theatre of Marcellus, the Forums and the Capitoline Hill, one of the seven hills. You will find the place where Caesar was killed and pay attention to interesting details of the most beautiful Roman squares - Navona and Venice. All three hours will be filled with curious plots - not only about landmarks but also about people. You will learn about the daily life and habits of ordinary inhabitants of Ancient Rome, about scandalous Roman popes and their entourages, about personalities who influenced the appearance and character of the Eternal City.
Who is the tour for
Both adults and young travelers. For those who are visiting Rome for the first time and those who have been here before.

Amazing Excursion! Despite the drizzling rain, we enjoyed everything and managed to walk a lot, as well as visited a bookshop and had a delicious coffee.

Gina is a very pleasant and knowledgeable guide. Despite a couple of mishaps with my two older kids, she was ready and took us to another location that was even better than the original. Highly highly recommend and hope to do another tour with her when we come back to Italy
