Classical Rome
We will take a walk through the historic center, revealing the beauty of Roman squares. You will see Piazza Del Popolo with the northern gates of Ancient Rome, the famous Spanish Steps, the largest Roman fountain Trevi. We will walk through cozy streets where the movie 'Roman Holiday' was filmed and visit a medieval church. We will recall how the Eternal City was founded, talk about its triumphs and falls. You will visit the majestic Colosseum, Roman Forums, Pantheon, hear stories about emperors and ordinary Romans of those times. We will discuss how Christianity came to Rome and why the ancient Greek gods regained popularity in the Renaissance era.
Piazza Navona will reveal the splendor of Baroque churches and fountains for you. In Piazza Venezia, you will see how the ruins of Ancient Rome, attributes of the Popes, and memories of Italian fascism are combined in urban life.

Rome from Within
From the main roads, you will turn onto quiet streets where Gogol and Stendhal wandered, and visit cafes where Bryullov and Picasso used to visit. I will reveal the most interesting pages of the city's history: tell you about religion, the endless struggle for power, the passions and virtues of those who created the history of Rome. As well as about the vow of celibacy of the popes, the courts of the Inquisition, and the fates of women in the Middle Ages.
