About this experience
Rhodes will impress you with its medieval castles, cozy villages, wonderful churches, picturesque bays and gorges. In one day, I will try to show you the favorite island from all sides: I will easily and entertainingly tell you about its past and present, show you fairy-tale beautiful viewpoints and iconic historical attractions.
What to Expect
Breathtaking Views
We will visit the best beaches of Rhodes, the romantic bay of Anthony Quinn, and the place where the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas meet. We will stop at the foot of Mount Attavyros and discuss why the Althomena Gorge is called the 'gates of hell'. We will admire the famous Tsambika Monastery from the observation deck and the acropolis of the ancient city of Lindos. On the way, I will keep you entertained and tell you a lot of interesting things about the nature, traditions, and culture of the island.
The Village of Embonas, Churches, Castles, and Holy Springs
Rhodes will captivate you not only with fantastic landscapes, but also with its rich history. You will visit the ancient churches of St. Nectarios and St. Panteleimon, appreciate the medieval castles of Monolithos and Kritinia, visit the abandoned Italian village of Eleousa, and see Mussolini's villa. You will visit the seven springs, which, according to legend, were sanctified by the apostle Paul himself, and peek into an authentic pottery workshop. And to get acquainted with local gastronomic specialties, the 'wine village' Embonas will help us.
