Prometheus Caves and Tskhaltubo Resort

Program

• Our journey will begin in Kutaisi city. We will explore its center and main attractions. I will provide an excursion into the city's history.
• Next, we will head along the old road towards the former Soviet-era Tskhaltubo resort (the return path will be on a different, more modern road). We will make a stop at the spring in the village and the beautiful karst Green Lake. Then we will stroll around Tskhaltubo and visit the Prometheus Caves located nearby in one of the villages. The huge halls offer a spectacular sight: traces of dinosaurs, underground rivers with canyons, amazing natural formations of stalactites and stalagmites. You will feel like you are entering a fairy-tale, captivating world. Enjoy a boat ride on the underground river.
• After the Prometheus Caves, at your request, we can visit one of the many other caves, equally beautiful but less developed for a wider audience.
• Then we will drive up to the pass towards Svaneti, where we will admire the picturesque views of mountain peaks, deep gorges, and the vast Colchis Plain.
