Alexandria is one of the oldest cities in the world. You will visit all its iconic places: amphitheater, catacombs, fortress, and library. We will share their centuries-old history and architectural features. And also tell you about the events that have taken place in Alexandria over the centuries and which famous people have visited here.
What to Expect
Kom El Shoqafa Catacombs. You will visit a huge 2nd-century necropolis. We will show you ancient statues, tombs, and ancient wall paintings. We will tell you how the necropolis was built and who is buried in it.
Pompey's Pillar. A 26-meter granite column located on the ruins of an ancient temple. You will learn for what event it was erected.
Roman Amphitheater. We will show you the ruins of a traditional ancient Roman theater. We will decipher its architectural features and tell you about the events that took place in it.
Citadel of Qaitbay. Built on the ruins of the legendary Alexandria Lighthouse, it has become the city's landmark. You will climb to the fortress and enjoy stunning panoramas.
Alexandrian Library. We will remember the ancient library, burned in the third century, and see its modern incarnation. It was designed by the famous Norwegian architect.
