You will visit the blooming city with the colorful Pena Palace and mysterious Quinta da Regaleira, admire the view of a village with a natural pool, explore the 'Devil's Mouth' and the edge of the continent - Cape Roca. What to Expect
Charm of the City
Our journey to Sintra goes through a mysterious, almost fairytale forest - it's no coincidence that several scenes of 'The Lord of the Rings' were filmed here. In the city, we will stroll through colorful streets that are perfect for a photoshoot. You will learn about the local cuisine and the unique grape variety that only grows in Sintra. You will taste traditional delicacies and the famous cherry liqueur in a chocolate cup. For lunch, we will stop at an authentic restaurant - if you're lucky, the owner of this cozy place will sing fado for you.
Architectural Masterpieces of Sintra
Afterwards, we will visit the Pena Palace (by agreement with the guide), known for its unusual architecture, and stroll through the blooming park. We will definitely visit the Quinta da Regaleira palace complex: you will learn about its history, hear about the Masons and their initiation ritual. We will get lost in the underground grottoes and descend the spiral staircase to the mysterious 'Initiation Well'.
At the Edge of the Earth
Then it will be time to enjoy the sea views: we will walk along Guincho Beach, enjoy the panoramic view from the viewpoint of the village of Azenhas do Mar. Watch out for splashes on the rocks of Boca do Inferno - also known as 'Devil's Mouth' - and catch a wave for a photo! And, of course, the culmination of the program - the westernmost point of the mainland, Cape Roca, a must-visit for all guests of Portugal.
