First, we will head to the famous Pena Palace on top of the mountain, mesmerizing the imagination with its luxurious neo-Moorish facades and interiors, take a stroll in the romantic park, and transport ourselves back to the era of King Fernando II. Then, we will go on a date with the ocean - to Cape Roca, where time stands still, and hearts stop at the beauty and power of nature.
What to Expect
Enchanting Pena Palace
From Lisbon, we will travel to the picturesque Sintra to walk the colorful cozy streets and talk about the history of the favorite city of the Portuguese kings. Then, we will take the mountain serpentine road to the fairytale Pena Palace, perched on top of a mountain. You will admire the lace-like neo-Moorish architecture of the palace, walk through the most beautiful royal halls and rooms decorated in Manueline style, and admire the preserved interiors. Afterwards, you will find yourself in the romantic era palace park with waterfalls, gazebos, rocks, and boulders covered in moss, creating a feeling of touching pristine nature.
Visit the 'Edge of the Earth'
A place worth visiting during a trip to Portugal is Cape Cabo da Roca, the real 'Edge of the Earth'. Here, you will experience incredible sensations from meeting the ocean and uniting with nature. The cape is always crowded, but everyone can find their secluded corner to enjoy the elements. You can take wonderful photos, send a postcard from the westernmost point of Eurasia, and have a cup of coffee at the edge of the world.
