About this experience
Just 45 km from Lisbon lies a natural wonder - the Serra-da-Arrábida National Park. Breathtaking mountains, ancient monasteries, and caves, spacious beaches, one of which was named the best in Europe - don't you want to see all of this? We will take you to the most picturesque places, guide you through secret paths, and show you the natural treasures that enrich the Portuguese coast.
What to Expect
- Our journey will start from the famous 25 de Abril Bridge. You will learn why it is often confused with the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. In the mountains, we will visit the Capuchin Monastery of Arrábida - we will tell you its intriguing history. Near the monastery, we will visit two viewpoints and admire the endless ocean from there.
- Descending to Setúbal Bay, we will enjoy fresh catches of local fishermen in a seaside restaurant: you will be offered various kinds of fish grilled to perfection. A picturesque trail will lead us to a mystical cave hidden from prying eyes. Inside, we will discover a chapel, and you will hear the legend of the hidden pirate treasure.
- We will visit the charming town of Sesimbra, wander through its pristine white beaches, and conclude our journey at the rocky cape of Espichel, where dinosaurs left their marks, and the Virgin Mary - according to legends - emerged from the ocean. At the cape, we will visit the Chapel of Memories and the abandoned monastery.
