About this experience
The Setubal region and the Sado River Valley are recognized as one of Portugal's best gastronomic destinations. This is where locals come to eat grilled cuttlefish, fresh fish, drink local wine, indulge in sheep cheese, and various sweets.
What to expect
Wines, sheep cheese, liqueurs, sweets, and stunning landscapes
You will visit a winery where you can taste the muscat wines of Setubal, explore the Arrabida Natural Park - the landscapes of this mountain range descending to the turquoise waters of the Atlantic have never left anyone indifferent. You will visit the fish market of Setubal, ranked among the top 10 markets in the world. And, of course, you will have lunch at a rural restaurant offering traditional Portuguese dishes, such as exquisite seafood (crab, shrimp, mussels, and other mollusks from the local coast) or a fish rodizio (10-15 types of different fish). After lunch, you will visit a family that produces liqueurs using ancient monastery recipes, taste the famous cheese of the Azetau region, and homemade jams. Finally, after enjoying the view of Lisbon from the statue of Christ, you will return to the capital, crossing the famous twin "Golden Gates", the bridge "25 de Abril"!
