About this experience
High cliffs where the waves of the Atlantic crash, and a lighthouse on top that guided great sailors for many years... This scenery awaits you during our journey. You will hear the roar of the waves in the legendary Devil's Mouth, admire the dunes of Guincho Beach and the cliffs of Adraga Beach. You will see the coastal resorts of Cascais and Estoril, which will tell you about their aristocratic past, and also glimpse the place where the king of Portugal spent time with his mistresses.
What to expect
Beauties and stories of the Lisbon Riviera
This journey through one of the most beautiful parts of Portugal will begin in Lisbon. Our route runs along the coast: the views here are magnificent! You will encounter two famous resort towns, which have always been a favorite place for aristocrats to relax. Cascais - a popular resort that grew out of a fishing village - will inspire you with luxurious villas in a picturesque marina. And in Estoril, you will learn about the interesting past and famous modern spots of this fashionable European resort.
Guincho Beach and Devil's Mouth
You will visit one of the most beautiful Portuguese beaches, long favored by surfers thanks to the local winds. You will also visit hell! Just kidding, but the place awaits you with a special energy. Here, in the Boca do Inferno gorge (the name translates as 'Mouth of Hell' or more often 'Devil's Mouth'), there is an eternal struggle between the ocean and the rocks. You will see and hear how the raging waves crash against the walls of the grotto with a roar, and I will tell you interesting legends about the origin of this place.
Cabo da Roca and Ursa Beach
You will visit the westernmost point of Eurasia - Cape Roca: I will tell you who considered these cliffs the edge of the earth and why they are called the 'place where the land ends and the sea begins'. After you enjoy the indescribable panorama of the Atlantic, we will take a walk to the beach at the foot of the cape. You will learn the legend of this place, enjoy the landscapes away from the beaten tourist paths, and hear the story of the miracle that happened to a deaf-mute girl in the 19th century.
