About this experience
Nuremberg is pitched roofs and an impregnable castle, sizzling sausages and fragrant gingerbread. I am in love with Nuremberg and wholeheartedly want you to love it too. During the walk, I will talk about the periods of growth and decline of the city, season it with legends and notes about modern life. We will talk about food, culture, traditions, architecture, Bavaria, and Nuremberg’s place in it.
What to expect
Nuremberg is a city of contrasts. On one hand, it is a major center, a transportation hub, and a venue for industrial exhibitions. On the other hand, here you can calmly dream on the grass by the river, relax in a beer garden, and take postcard-like photos. You will walk through the city streets and squares, hear about the great people who lived here, and see the main sights:
- The Nuremberg Castle, which was never conquered in 100 years
- The house where Albrecht Durer lived and worked, which was not destroyed during the war
- The Protestant Church of St. Sebald, which preserved its Catholic decoration
- The market square, where the most famous Christmas market in Germany is held
