About this experience
I invite you to an enriching journey through Northern Cappadocia, known as the 'red tour'. You will explore three fairy-tale valleys: Pigeon, Imagination, and Monks. Walk through the Uchisar fortress and the Kaymakli Underground City. Also, participate in a small pottery masterclass!
What to Expect
Kaymakli Underground City. A place where the early Christians hid from persecutions. Thousands of people could live in it for months without going outside for fresh air. You will see underground churches, chapels, living areas, dining halls, wineries, and warehouses. Decode the engineering features of the city and details of daily life inside.
Pigeon Valley. You will see cliffs with thousands of pigeon nests. It is one of the landmarks of Cappadocia.
Uchisar Fortress. We will walk through the ancient fortress and enjoy magnificent views of the surroundings from its observation decks.
Monks Valley. I will show you giant stone formations with mushroom-shaped caps. They are often called 'fairy chimneys' or 'fairy chimneys'. Inside them are churches, chapels, and caves. You will see all of this.
Imagination Valley. You will admire extraordinary rock formations resembling humans, animals, and birds. The most recognizable figure is the two-humped camel. It is clearly visible from the terrace where we will make a stop.
Avanos 'Potter's Town'. Here you will have a masterclass from experienced potters.
