About this experience
I invite you to a journey along the Blue Route - in my opinion, one of the most interesting, diverse, and picturesque in Cappadocia. You will walk through an underground city, ancient ruins, and a Greek settlement. Enjoy the valleys with whimsical rock formations and admire the views from the mighty fortress.
What to Expect
Pigeon Valley. You will admire the unusual valley where thousands of pigeons live - nesting in the gorges and caves.
Kaymakli Underground City. We will walk through the underground city carved into soft volcanic rock. I will tell you what people were hiding from here and how they lived.
Soganli Valley. You will take a walk through a picturesque valley with unusual geological formations and learn interesting facts about it.
Ancient City of Sobessos. I will show you the ruins of an ancient Christian city and tell you what archaeologists found interesting here.
Greek Village of Mustafapasa. You will see traditional Greek houses with characteristic stone towers and frescoes.
Ortahisar Fortress. This is an ancient fortress located on a high rocky cliff. It offers stunning views of the surroundings.
