Grand Tour of Cappadocia: All Inclusive

What to expect

• Uchisar Tower. You will visit the highest watchtower fortress in Cappadocia. During the Ottoman period, it had a visual signaling system to alert the surroundings of approaching enemies. You will learn how this happened during the tour.

• Underground city. In ancient times, Christians lived here. They carved out halls, vaults, labyrinths, and tunnels in the soft volcanic rocks. They built churches, houses, and stables underground. You will see what has been preserved from those times.

• Pigeon Valley. You will admire the surreal landscapes and uncover the secret of the valley's name.

• 'Potter's City' Avanos. We will stroll through the small ancient town where almost every house is engaged in pottery craftsmanship. Our guide will explain why this is the case.

• Imagination Valley. We will show you rock formations resembling a camel, a sitting hen, pigeons' kiss, Napoleon, and Virgin Mary with the baby in her arms.

• Monks Valley. It is famous for its whimsical stone columns resembling mushrooms in shape. Some of them have two, three, and even eight caps on one stem!

• Zelve Monastery Complex. You will see cells carved into the rocks dating back to the ninth century.
