About this experience
Cappadocia is not only about hot air balloon flights but also an amazing underground city, peculiar rocks, frescoes depicting the past, mighty fortresses, and exquisite wine adding vibrant notes to the journey. Cappadocia is my homeland. I know it like the back of my hand. I will tell you about the rich history of these lands and show colorful photo locations.
What to Expect
Kaymakli Underground City is an 8-story structure discovered by a local in the 20th century. Exploring the narrow passages of Kaymakli, you'll see how people used to live here, learn about their activities, and how they managed to create an underground urban system.
Goreme Open-Air Museum is a monastery complex where early Christians dwelled. We will visit the churches on the museum's territory. I will tell you about each fresco there and Christianity in general.
Café with an incredible view of Ortahisar Fortress where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and take many colorful shots
Family Rocks. You will see a group of rocks considered a symbol of Cappadocia and find out why they are called so. I will also explain how stone formations in the shape of mushrooms appear.
Pigeon Valley. While you observe the pigeon houses, I will explain what they mean to the locals. This place also offers the opportunity to take atmospheric photos against the backdrop of rocks and Uchisar Fortress.
Tasting of exquisite Cappadocian wine at the winery. You will try 4 types of wine, discover where and how it is stored, and why it is considered a high-quality wine.
