About this experience
In the first part of the program, you will get acquainted with the natural and historical attractions of the region. The guide will take you to one of the highest and most beautiful waterfalls in Georgia, tell you about a 12th-century structure, and the traditions of a local wine house. Then you will go rafting on a picturesque 6-kilometer route. Finally, you will taste several varieties of Georgian wines.
What to Expect
Excursion around the surroundings (1 hour)
You will see the highest waterfall (54 meters) in the village of Mahuntseti, a medieval arched bridge built during the reign of Queen Tamar, and a century-old aqueduct to the first power plant in Georgia. You will also visit the Shervashidze wine house, where you will later have a tasting.
Rafting down the river (1.5-2 hours)
After the briefing, you will board a 6-person boat and head downstream from Mahuntseti almost to the arched bridge. The route is 6 km long. An experienced guide-instructor will accompany you, ensuring a safe passage. In cold weather, we provide wetsuits. In summer, it is advisable to have a swimsuit or change of clothes.
🍷 Finally, we will invite you to tastings at the winery, where you will sample 6 types of wine.
Afterward, you can return to Batumi or stay and continue your leisure time. Here you can go on zip lines, ATVs, and horses, simply take a walk around the area, and also buy traditional Georgian sweets.
Organizational Details
- We are located 60 km from Batumi, the journey to us will take about 1 hour
- You can reach the starting point on your own or use our transfer service: up to 4 people - 70 euros, from 5 people - 95 euros. We can pick you up from various cities within Adjara
- The program includes: excursion, rafting, and wine tastings.
- Children under 3 years old are not allowed to take part in the rafting
- Route distance - 6 km, danger level - 2.5-3 points, we provide life jackets to all participants
- The tour will be conducted by me or my colleague, both professional guides; the rafting will be supervised by one of the instructors from our team

Comfortable transfer, interesting trip to beautiful places + river rafting. Rafted for the first time, the route was not difficult at all, even rode with a dog.
