About this experience
We invite you to a rich two-day journey through the central part of the island. You will visit the mountain resorts of Ella and Nuwara Eliya, climb to the Small Adam's Peak, and take a train ride on an incredibly scenic stretch of track. You will stroll through a botanical garden, feed elephants, see a waterfall, and admire the views from the Ambulawawa tower. And that's not all!
What to expect
Day 1
Ella Mountain Resort. You will appreciate its landmarks: the 19-meter Ravana waterfall and the ancient Nine Arch Bridge. You will also make an easy picturesque ascent to the Small Adam's Peak, from the top of which you will have a view of the hills and rice fields.
Train ride. Get ready to travel on one of the most picturesque railway routes in the world! The journey will only take half an hour, but the views will be remembered for a lifetime.
Royal Botanical Garden Peradeniya. As you walk through it, you will see many exotic plants and flowers, including trees planted by Yuri Gagarin.
Nuwara Eliya Town. You will admire its colonial center in English style and Lake Gregory. And we will share the rich history of the city.
Day 2
Ambulawawa Tower. Climbing to its lookout platform, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding towns, valleys, rivers, and evergreen forests.
Elephant Park. A place where you can feed elephants and observe them up close.
Ayurvedic Garden. You will learn what Ayurveda is, and also see how local medicinal plants and spices grow.
Tea Factory. We will visit tea plantations and observe the process of tea production.
Gem Museum. There is everything in Sri Lanka! Including precious stones. You will see which ones.
Organizational details
- Included in the price: Japanese sedan with air conditioning, overnight stay in a 3* hotel in Ramboda, dinner and breakfast at the hotel, all entrance tickets
- An experienced driver will be behind the wheel so the guide can devote all attention to you
