About this experience
Central Highlands of Sri Lanka dramatically differ from its southern part. You will immerse yourself in the world of vast tea plantations, magnificent waterfalls, and mist-covered mountain peaks. We will explore the colonial resort town of Nuwara Eliya with its English-style houses, visit a tea factory, and walk through the picturesque Horton Plains National Park.
What to Expect
Day One. High Mountain Resort Nuwara Eliya
You will enjoy the mountainous nature of Sri Lanka, swim in the cool waters of the famous Ramboda waterfall, participate in tea picking on the plantations, visit a tea factory to taste the finest varieties of Ceylon tea, and observe the tea processing. In the evening, you will check into the Ramboda Falls hotel, where a delicious dinner, relaxation, and stunning views from the rooms await you.
Day Two. Horton Plains National Park
After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the island's highest-altitude park - Horton Plains. We will take a 10-kilometer circular route, admire Baker's Falls, and ascend to the 'World's End' viewpoint with magnificent views of mountain peaks and surrounding valleys. With some luck, we may encounter deer, macaques, and exotic birds.
