Mini-Montenegro Tour

Program

• Our trip will start from the hotel where you are staying. I will pick you up in a Toyota Verso car. You will visit the city of Cetinje - the ancient capital of Montenegro. You will see the greatest Orthodox relics in the Cetinje Monastery: the incorruptible hand of Saint John the Baptist and particles of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord. You will learn about the history of the city's founding, as well as how the relics ended up in the monastery.
• Next, we will visit an art gallery where the Philermos Icon of the Mother of God (painted by St. Luke) is located.
• Our next stop is the Lovcen National Park - a mountain range of unusual configuration, a natural masterpiece that Montenegrins consider their Olympus.
• On the top of Mount Lovcen stands the mausoleum of Njegos - the ruler of Montenegro in the 19th century, a poet, and philosopher. I will tell you when and how the mausoleum was created.
• Then we will descend to the Bay of Kotor, along a serpentine road (25 turns), stop for a photo break at the most beautiful spot, where you can see the views of the Tivat and Kotor bays, and Old Kotor from a height of 1100 meters.
• After visiting Lovcen Park, we will head to the village of Njegusi - the ancestral village of the Montenegrin Petrovic-Njegos dynasty, where you can taste and purchase Njegusi cheese, prosciutto, homemade wine, and rakia (a traditional strong spirit). And I will reveal the secrets of producing these products.
• Next, you will enjoy a tour of Old Kotor with a visit to the sights.
• After that, I will take you back to your hotel.
