What to Expect
Budva Panoramas
As the Budva Riviera glistens in the morning sun, we will stop at a viewpoint to admire the landscapes of Budva. We will take a few photo breaks by the river Cernoeviča – optional boat rides along the river channels are available for an extra fee.
Cetinje Monastery and its Relics
We will then head to Cetinje – the former capital of Montenegro. After a stroll through the city streets, we will visit the famous monastery of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, where you can venerate the greatest Orthodox relics: the uncorrupted hand of John the Baptist and particles of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord.
Montenegrin Olympus
The next stop on the itinerary is Lovćen National Park: we will ascend to the highest peak via the serpentine road, offering views for miles around. Here lies the mausoleum of Petar II Petrović-Njegoš – I will share about the personality of this ruler. You will also visit his native village of Njeguši and taste local delicacies from one of the residents: prosciutto, cheeses, wines, rakia, and liqueurs – excellent souvenirs for loved ones!
Kotor and Perast
We will descend to the old town of Kotor – along the way, we will encounter numerous viewpoints, while the town itself delights with cozy streets and a medieval atmosphere. We will walk from the Main Gate to the South and North Gates, covering the main attractions – I will share interesting stories about each.
Its neighbor Perast is known as the city of millionaires: you will stroll along the main street by the sea and capture the best shots. Optionally, you can sail with local boatmen to the man-made island of Our Lady of the Rocks and enjoy the view of the evening city.
