What to Expect
Ancient Capital Cetinje
As we drive through the landscapes of the Budva Riviera, we will reach the medieval capital of Montenegro - Cetinje. Stroll through the ancient city, visit the Cetinje Monastery and its sanctuaries: the relics of St. Peter of Cetinje, the right hand of St. John the Baptist, who baptized Jesus Christ, and a particle of the Holy Cross. In Cetinje, you will also see the Art Gallery and learn the history of the mysterious icon of the Philermos Mother of God kept here.
Lovćen Mountain Panoramas
We will then head to the mountainous Lovćen National Park - one of Montenegro's most beautiful reserves, symbolizing freedom for the locals. The road to the top of Lovćen will lead us along a winding path, offering a magnificent view of Cetinje and its surroundings. From the viewpoint at the very top of the mountain, Montenegro will spread out before us as if on the palm of our hand.
Village of Njeguši and Local Delicacies
You will visit the picturesque village of Njeguši, where Peter Njeguš - a famous poet and ruler of Montenegro, was born. This village is famous for its delicacies: here you can try Njeguši cheese, various types of rakija, and the delicious pršut - smoked pork loin. In the village, you can taste dishes of traditional cuisine in a national restaurant, buy local sweets and souvenirs. On the way back, we will tackle the 25 loops of the serpentine road, making stops for photo breaks and enjoying the best views of Montenegro.
And to conclude the tour, we can visit a large fish market and a supermarket with the lowest prices in Montenegro!
