About this experience
Medieval times. Towers, temples, city, beer. 1348. This year marked the beginning of the most interesting period in Prague. During our tour, I will tell you in detail why it was so important. It was the year when, by the royal decrees of the young King Charles IV, a construction boom began in Prague, an entire New Town was built, which, by the way, was almost twice the size of Paris at that time.
Program
I will tell you about Charles IV, who in the mid-14th century envisioned Prague as a capital of luxury and progress. It was under his rule that Gothic Prague emerged with hundreds of temples and residential quarters, with wide avenues and towers reaching into the sky, the region's first university and a stone bridge across the Vltava.
We will see medieval Prague, climb the Gothic towers, admire the city from above, imagine life without clocks and phones. And we will end our walk in the oldest tavern in Prague, where visitors were treated to the signature beer even during the lifetime of the great Charles IV.
Organizational Details
Additional costs: entrance to the towers - 5 euros per person. Participation in the medieval show at the restaurant (8 euros per person) and dinner.
