Prague Legends and Landmarks
You will see the main symbols of the city - Charles Bridge, the Castle District, Old Town Square. Explore the Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral and Prague Castle - the house of all princes, kings, and the residence of Czech presidents. You will learn about the secrets of the Prague Astronomical Clock, why Prague roofs are red, and why windows were painted on the facades of houses. I will tell you how to make a wish correctly on Charles Bridge and what the Zikmund Bell 'talks' to the people about.
Mystical Atmosphere of Prague
I will show you the mystical side of Prague, talk about urban superstitions and symbols. We will dive into the period when Prague was the European center of alchemy, discuss the reign of Rudolf II and the creation of his alchemical laboratory. You will understand why St. Vitus Cathedral can be called the most mysterious place in Prague, and learn the history of the infamous crown of Czech kings, the mystical power of which every Czech resident believes in without exception.
Ancient Monastery Brewery
We will end the tour at the brewery of the functioning male Strahov Monastery, where beer has been brewed for 8 centuries, which you will undoubtedly enjoy! Here you will explore the medieval monastery, learn the mysterious history of the 'Devil's Bible' and other manuscripts hidden in the legendary monastery library. And from the viewing platform, you will have a wonderful view of Prague!
