What to expect
Taste of Malaga
We will start the tour in the center of Malaga, in the area of Plaza Puerta del Mar. I will show you a typical urban cafe 'Casa Aranda', where you can taste the traditional Spanish sweet 'churros' and have hot chocolate. Continuing the gastronomic theme, we will visit the Mercado de Atarazanas market, built on the site of a Nasrid shipyard. I will introduce you to the features of Andalusian cuisine and advise you on which local dishes to try.
The city's 'hallmarks'
You will see the main symbol of Malaga - the Cathedral - and find out why one of its towers remained unfinished. Walking through the Old Town, we will come across the medieval Moorish fortress Alcazaba and the ruins of the Roman Theatre, the history of which you will definitely hear. After that, we will make a stop at the famous tavern 'El Pimpi', where cool Malagan wine and 'tapas' snacks will refresh you. Meanwhile, I will talk about Spanish winemaking and reveal the secret of the popularity of ham.
Malaga at your fingertips
I will show you the house of the most famous native of Malaga - Pablo Picasso - and tell you how he spent his early years here. At the end of the walk, we will climb to the top of the hill, to the Gibralfaro Castle. You will see the city and the picturesque sea bay from a bird's eye view and will definitely want to return to sunny Malaga to feel its subtle aroma again and immerse yourself in an atmosphere of warmth, hospitality, and well-being.
