What to Expect
Gastronomic Stops
How should you start your morning in Georgia? Of course, with wine! First, we will visit the village of Manavi: you will taste aromatic Georgian wines, as well as churchkhela, pastila, various sauces, and spices. Then we will visit another village - Badiauri, where you will observe how Kakhetian bread is baked in a clay oven, and if you wish, you can participate in the process.
Sighnaghi, Telavi, and Bodbe Monastery
We will visit the city of love, Sighnaghi, stroll through the quiet cozy streets, which are very similar to a little Italy. We will approach the ancient wall and admire the beautiful views of the Alazani Valley. We will visit the basilica of Saint Nino at the Bodbe women's monastery and, of course, not overlook the capital of Kakheti - the city of Telavi, where you will make a wish at the 900-year-old plane tree. Optionally, we can go ziplining or paragliding.
Wine Cellar
In Kakheti, wine is essential, so we will end this beautiful day with a glass of delicious wine from the winery - one of the best in the region. You will taste Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Khikhvi, Kindzmarauli, and other varieties, learn why the Alazani Valley is so important for winemaking, and what sets Georgian wine apart from everything else.
