About this experience
They say that in the Middle Ages, when there was no television or internet, people were like children and believed everything in the world, especially in traditions and legends. During our walk, I will tell you about the traditions and history of the city, and most importantly - introduce you to the ancient Tallinn legends.
Program
You will see houses where ghosts are still seen.
- For example, Luhike Jalg (Short Leg) street is still known as an 'anomalous zone' where ghosts often appear.
- On Lai (Wide) Street, in the Lower Town, there is a house associated with a dramatic story of love between a Franciscan monk and the daughter of a councillor Margarete.
- The mansion in Toompea, once belonging to the von Brevern family, gained a bad reputation. It is said that in that house, the image of a young woman appeared, scaring men to near death.
- Finally, you will learn why the alley in Old Tallinn is called the 'alley of spirits', hear the story of the 'cat well', the house where the devil celebrated a wedding, learn about the 'Tallinn Don Juan' and about Old Thomas. I will also tell you about punishments, medicine, and daily life in medieval times...
