About this experience
Embark on a unique journey to the mountainous settlement of Lagich. It is famous for workshops producing artistic creations from wood, metal, ceramics. You will see craftsmen at work and admire their creations. Additionally, you will hike on mountain trails, enjoy picturesque views, and lush natural locations.
What awaits you
Diri Baba Mausoleum. Along the way, we will visit Gobustan. There we will visit the mausoleum of Sheikh Diri Baba - a place that attracts many pilgrims and curious visitors. You will see the interesting architectural features of the mausoleum and learn its history.
Juma Mosque in Shamakhi. You will see the second oldest mosque in the Caucasus and the Middle East, built in 743 AD.
Picnic and suspension bridge in Ismaillah. We will have a picnic in nature with shashlik, vegetables, and Azerbaijani wine. You will be treated to Shamakhi kutabs - national pastries with meat. Thrill-seekers can stroll across the suspension bridge over the gorge.
Lagich Craftsman Village. Here you will find beautiful natural landscapes, authentic atmosphere, and traditional architecture. You will learn about Lagich's rich history and local crafts - carpet making, ceramics, and much more. If desired, you can purchase works of the masters.
